My Story

At two years old, I felt surrounded by love in the small village of Diamond, Trinidad Tobago, but that image shattered with tension between my parents, who had six children by my mom's 29 and my dad's 34.
Attending Grant, I excelled academically and made friends while envying quieter homes. By age nine, I connection and peace, often finding solace with my Great Grandmother, the nickname “Chatterbox” that guided my desire to help others.
I thrived at one of the island's top high schools supporting friends during tough times. Realizing my passion lay in psychology I volunteered at the Sexual Assault Center and worked with Metro Police's Victim Services, my dream of helping children.
My focus on resilience stems from my experiences, leading to my book, "A Therapist Insider’s Guide Relationships," and the Authentic Connection Movement.
Now in Niagara Falls, Ontario, I enjoy time with my son R.J. and our dog Tigger especially watching R.J. play golf.
